..aka the delayed or abandoned Amazinglyfewjukeboxes projects.
Best laid plans and all that. I'll come up with an idea that for various reasons just never reaches the blog stage. Or it gets started but mothballed due to those same various reasons (usually health, real life issues, lack of time etc). So I thought it might be interesting to share a few things that fall into this category. I might get to return to some/all of them eventually!
SADE - STRONGER THAN PRIDE as a featured album. This was one I actually got started with last summer, getting artwork, creating a draft template. And then it vanished from my Wordpress folders. By the time it reappeared somehow, I'd knackered myself with the Q pieces and succumbed to the unbearable heatwave. I ended up in hospital. But it's an album, and Sade is an artist, that I really want to showcase on the blog at some point. Even if it's Love Deluxe instead of Stronger Than Pride. She/they never had a #1 on my personal charts, so there won't be that opportunity which sometimes comes up for acts down the line.
JONI MITCHELL - CHALK MARK IN A RAINSTORM, featured album, plus a possible Geffen Years retrospective article. Again, I did the groundwork for this but other stuff got in the way. I had hoped to use an old article I did on the album for @ray's blog in about 2013/14 as a basis for the new one, but I couldn't find the txt file anywhere. Unlike Sade, there is a perfect window coming up soon on the blog with my 1988 #1s that could be a substitute for any full-blown write-up on the album. We shall have to see!
