Outstanding!
I have just ripped a copy to iTunes. I knew those West German compilation series like Larry Präsentiert and Ronny's Pop Show would come in handy.... Love the Way 1-2 and Wonder Stuff and Vic together before Dizzy. Words and News a fine finale.

CD1 was all about the the personal faves of that time...the tracks that gave me such a lift....and still give me great pleasure and good vibes. CD2 began with the trio of moody dance/electronic classics that really began my love for that sound (along with Higher Than The Sun, which I thought was maybe too minor a hit - #40 - to make the cut). Then I just went off on an unexpected tangent after Oceanic....Right Said Fred next to Jason Donovan, then Cathy to bring us back on track a bit...before a run of summer tunes that reminded me of that August/September. Couldn't resist pre-shadowing the Dizzy inclusion on NOW20 by putting the Stuffies and Vic together! And then Born Free (which is actually fantastic, isn't it) immediately put me in mind of the Unforgettable/Extreme/Feargal finish. I was left with about 8 or 9 tracks that didn't make it from the longlist. Guns N Roses and OMD ended up two of the surprise omissions.

CD1 first half has a really nice solid rock tunes all together while the second part brings in the brilliant "sexual" sequence & Kirsty followed by Jesus Jones works really well and that Siouxsie choice is inspired - I'd never have considered it but makes sense.
CD2 builds really well with the Martika -> Massive Attack before exploding with the KLF.

I think the whole Bryan Adams thing - all those weeks at #1 - tended to overshadow a lot of what else was going on. And is maybe what people remember about that summer (aside from the glorious weather and Terminator 2). That single is a notable absentee from my 19.5, partly because it was only just getting started in August (when I made the cut-off point for the selections) and they wouldn't have licensed such a huge song that early in its lifespan anyway.
Hopefully it all captures that point in time quite well, for me there's a perfect mixture of personal favourites and things which were popular if not the Top 5 hits they should have been (Voice of the Beehive, Martika, Mike + Mechanics, Deacon Blue), and some that are remembered despite more modest chart peaks (Jesus Jones, Living Colour, Massive Attack, Young Disciples).

NOW 8 looks to be the least bungled volume since the first.
Suburbia isn't the 7" as on Discography but it does match what was on the NOW 8 double album in 86.
There's an edit of Don't Give Up that's neither the one from 1986 nor the album version.
In Too Deep is the album version, but I don't know if I've seen the 4.38 edit anywhere else.
All the rest are more or less okay, I think.
Will be interesting to play this, as I never owned it at the time, and it was after the days of listening to schoolfriends' copies on walkmans or at their houses.

Is there any chance of a screenshot of times?

Some of the tagging is my own, to help differentiate from other versions/mixes I have in iTunes, or matched to the same versions I've already got.

These are all iTunes rip timings, so occasionally a second or two leeway. The Robert Palmer is 6 seconds longer than the version I normally use from At His Very Best, and can't offhand remember how long the Riptide LP version is.

Genesis Grace Jones Both album versions instead of 7"s
Janet Jackson is supposed to be Design Of A Decade edit which differs from original 7" (Can be found on trusty German Musikladen Eurotops)
And Peter Gabriel & Kate Bush
Other than that - looks to be ok. Jaki Graham and Cutting Crew a few seconds out but won't know till I hear.

Ah yes, Grace album mix too. And Deborah X on PJ pointed out correctly that it's the Design.. mix of What Have You. Pity they couldn't include the actual 7", but if that's what went on NOW8 at the time, then so be it I guess.
But compared the absolute carnage of 5,6 and 7....a definite improvement.

Definitely. The Now 1 (four wrong) were minor enough - pity the others are so off.

Three of the four on Now 8 are on the original CD while the Janet track is on the aforementioned German comp so probably possibly to do a 100% accurate re-creation (assuming nothing else wrong and always better to hear it first....)
